Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Braynix Books ("the Service", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Braynix Books is a cloud-based bookkeeping and accounting platform designed for small businesses. The Service allows you to manage invoices, bills, expenses, bank transactions, and financial reports.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. By using Braynix Books, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Account Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at support@braynixbooks.com of any unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for any losses resulting from unauthorised use of your account.
4. Subscription and Billing
- Braynix Books offers a 30-day free trial with no credit card required.
- After your trial, a paid subscription is required to continue using gated features.
- When paid billing is enabled, subscriptions may be billed monthly or annually through a secure third-party payment provider. Braynix Books does not collect card numbers inside the browser app.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice.

5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the security of the platform
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission
6. Data and Privacy
Your financial data belongs to you. We store your data securely on Supabase infrastructure. You can export your complete data at any time from the Settings panel. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.
7. Data Backup
While we maintain cloud backups and history snapshots of your data, you are encouraged to regularly export your company data as a backup. We are not liable for data loss resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, design, and content, is owned by Braynix Books and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of your financial data entered into the platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Braynix Books shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Braynix Books is a software tool and does not provide accounting, legal, or tax advice.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, you may export your data for 30 days before it is permanently deleted.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you via email and an in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, followed by binding arbitration if necessary.
