Many Tanzanian businesses start with a spreadsheet, a mobile-money statement and a book of handwritten invoices. That becomes hard to control once staff, stock, locations and customers grow.
Braynix Books creates one record across sales, purchases, payments and accounting, so the owner sees the business clearly and the accountant receives books that already add up.
The right system for a Tanzanian small business should keep its books in TZS, produce professional invoices, record expenses and supplier bills, organise cash, bank and mobile-money takings together, calculate PAYE Tax and NSSF on a payslip, track stock where the business holds any, and produce a profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow an accountant can review. Braynix Books does all of these in one place, and starts with a setup shaped to the trade — a shop, a clinic, a restaurant or a haulier — rather than an empty ledger. There is a 30-day free trial and no credit card is required.
Braynix Books is global. It keeps books in any currency and at any tax rate, so a business anywhere can use it. Payroll rules are built in for 13 countries — Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Rwanda, Ethiopia, the United States, the United Kingdom, India, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia — and each has its own page. Anywhere else, payroll still runs but falls back to a generic calculation rather than that country's statutory law. The one direct tax-authority integration is Kenya's KRA eTIMS.
Yes. Tanzania is one of the countries whose statutory deductions are implemented directly, so a payslip shows PAYE Tax and NSSF calculated from the employee's pay, and the employee record carries a TIN and NSSF number. The rates are maintained in the product and can be updated when the law changes.
Braynix Books keeps VAT-rated invoices and purchases and produces a tax summary you can use when preparing a return for the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA). It does not submit returns on your behalf, and it is not connected to any Tanzania e-invoicing service — the direct tax-authority integration in the product is Kenya's KRA eTIMS. Each business stays responsible for confirming its own obligations.
Yes. It is a web application that runs on desktop, Android and iPhone, so an owner can check the day's takings from anywhere while a bookkeeper works on the same records. Two people can work at the same time and changes sync.
Statutory payroll is implemented country by country. These are the African countries whose deductions are built in.
